The Georgian Townhouse

A collaboration with Nash Architects and Berkeley Place, our sensitive restoration of a Grade II-listed townhouse in Bath will reunite separate apartments into a single family home that’s refined, welcoming and quietly characterful. 

The interior design will reveal and celebrate the fabric of the original building, using a desaturated palette that sits gently alongside the architecture. Existing details will be retained wherever possible, with damaged or missing features carefully restored, reclaimed or reinterpreted by skilled craftspeople. The furnishings and joinery will bring together old and new, pairing traditional Shaker principles with a considered selection of contemporary pieces. 

Window treatments will enhance natural light while providing softness and privacy, and a layered lighting scheme will balance practical task lighting with lower-level, ambient sources to create a warm and atmospheric environment throughout.
